Xià Chuán Ruò Yŏu

Zhì Rén Zī Jīn Bǎo Zhì Xīn Yī Jìu Gé Gào Mĕng Yù Qīng Rán Hòu
Ér Fù Yān
[If one wants to become a] Perfect Man (Zhi Ren)
one must give offerings of gold coins.
And with natural qualities of character and a plain heart,
complying the old standard patterns we
address the alliance at Jade Clarity (Yu Qing- the highest of the thirty-six Heavens).
Afterwards is handed over how things are done.
Dào Yán Fū Jiàng Zhēn Zé Zāi È Xī Zhào Líng Zé Huò Nán Chú Ān Guŏ Níng Jiā Xí Cóng
Daoist Doctrine states that Man brings vanquishment,
and thereby allows the effects of calamity and disaster to grow.
To cause a cease one summons the Marvelous Power (Zhao Ling).
Thereby happens the cause and effect of calamity.
[For example,] hardship and disaster have been removed in AnGuo in Ningxia
There it is known to entirely to follow these [rules].
Xuán Gǎn Ruò Jié Yùn Fŏu Zhōng Sān Guāng Kuī Yíng Shén Rén
Pround feeling (Xuan Gan) is like how the shifting between Calamity
and Good Fortune likewise has no finish or finality.
The Three Lights (the sun, the moon, and the stars)
in the same way do very much wane and wax,
are deficient and then in surplus.

Xiū Fŏu Mò Xúe Jí Shāng Tóng Qì Jiē Dāng Qí Xīn Xiū Zhāi Liù Shí
also rest during good fortune.
No superficial or insufficient learning, Illness and Injury (Ji Shang) [has an effect]
Similar to how [the different] Qi all become (when it is suitable)
of one accord to Study, fasting from meat,
and having retired into a room for the six fixed days.
