in secret, divine Fairyland (Xuan Du),
at the profound purple upper palace,
while ingrossed in listening to the Dark Academy (Xuan Ke) studies,
forty thousand are plundering openly.
The Single Transmission (Yi Chuan) seems to have
the Perfect Man (Zhi Ren) who gives an offerings of gold coins,
and with natural qualities of character
and a plain heart complies with the old patterns,
asking for an alliance with

Shí Tiān Rán Hòu Ér Fù Yān
the Ten Heavens.
Afterwards then all do pay in this way.

Daoist doctrine states that life amongst the People (Min) has it as a long-standing [fact] that there has never been a motive for gaining
the knowledge needed to engage in the Transformation of the Fetus (Hua Tai).
Since life in the mortal world generally consists of being Thickheaded and Obstinate (Wan),
having this [attitude] take root means there cannot be anything genuine,
and decay will continue to eat things away.
Yet, this rotteness can be defeated because

Dào Huà Liàn Miào Gǎn Tōng Shén Xié Mèi
the Path (Dao) can transform and refine,
giving one that wonderful feeling brought on through connection to the gods.
